Finish with baseboards, reachable surfaces, vacuuming and mopping so the property is ready for its next chapter.

Work from empty rooms toward the busiest spaces

Once furniture and boxes are out, begin with rooms that are already clear. This makes it easier to see dust, marks and debris that may have been hidden by furniture.

Save the areas still being used during the move, such as the kitchen or main bathroom, until closer to the end so they do not immediately get dirty again.
